September is officially recognized as Good Neighbor Month, a time to celebrate and strengthen the bonds within our community. At Maple Avenue Ministries, we believe in the power of strong neighborhoods and invite you to participate in several exciting events and opportunities we have planned.

Upcoming Events

  • Neighborhood Night: We're moving back indoors! Join the MAMily and our neighbors for a fun-filled evening on Friday, September 26. We encourage you to bring a game and a snack to share as we enjoy fellowship together.

  • Neighborhood Celebration: The Big Event: We are partnering with local neighborhood organizations, including Westcore Neighbors, for a city-wide celebration! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 27, from 3-6 PM. The event will be held in the parking lot behind Bigby at 40th and Washington and will feature something for everyone, including haircuts, a dunk tank, a bounce house, games, food, and contests. We'll also be announcing the "Neighbor of the Year" awards, so be sure to nominate a deserving neighbor from your area!

  • 427 Club Lunch: This is a small, welcoming group for those over 55 who enjoy getting to know each other over a monthly lunch. Join us for our next gathering on Wednesday, September 24, at noon in the Gold Room.

  • Thanksgiving Potluck: The planning team for our annual Neighborhood Thanksgiving Potluck on Friday, November 20, has already begun. We rely on the generous support of volunteers, and we will be putting out sign-up forms soon. Are you willing to help by bringing a side or preparing a ham or turkey? Let us know!

  • Outdoor Space: We're looking to make our outdoor area a fantastic amenity for neighborhood gatherings. Do you have ideas for what we should do? Please share them with us!

  • Small Groups & Embrace Team: Are you interested in joining a small group with the MAMily and your neighbors? Or perhaps you feel called to volunteer with our Embrace Team? We would love to have you!
