Hello Mamily,

This is Jonathon Reece. My wife Jessica and I were former members of the Mamily from 2021-2022. In 2022 we moved to Colorado where I spent some time ministering at a wonderful church and now sense a call to be the Indigenization Coordinator at an organization called BEE World. The intent of this letter is to describe what my organization does, how I fit into that picture, and to begin the process of asking if you would pray to join with us. What does BEE do?

BEE creates local biblical training networks for ministry leaders throughout the world to support the local church. Some estimates place the percentage of pastors worldwide without access to biblical or theological education at 70% with 690 trained pastors needed a day to keep up with the growing church. With 70% of Christians being without a leader with sufficient biblical education we are at risk of losing the enormous amount Christian growth that has happened in the last century. BEE World addresses this problem with a model of education that is reproduceable and multiplies quickly. We go into a country and start groups of 10-20 ministers in a 4-6 year biblically based training program that includes courses like Bible Study Methods, Galatians, Christian Family, Advanced Studies in the OT, and almost two dozen more. During the training process the nationals are required to create their own groups of 10-20 replicating and contextualizing what they have learned. This means that in one country in 6 years we have trained 20, 9 years 400, 12 years 8,000, 15 years 160,000, etc. Once enough pastors have been trained in a country, we help to form an independent training network led by nationals which is Locally Governed, Multiplied, and Funded, who then take mantle of training forward in their country and beyond. What do I Do?

  • I help ensure that BEE World stays educated and informed on cross cultural best practices.
  • I do leadership development teaching our facilitators how to better teach across cultures.
  • I’m an auditor, reviewing and making sure we help create independent networks.
  • I do Micro Economic Development: I help local BEE ministries become financially sustainable.
  • I occasionally facilitate groups to both teach and to research and implement new practices.
