We believe God has made each of you with unique skills, abilities, and callings. In the New Testament, Peter describes the Church as a body of “royal priests,” showing us that God sees you as ministers, sent into your respective “temples” of service for His glory. Tomorrow, each of you will step into your workplaces—whether paid or unpaid. As your pastor, it’s my privilege to walk alongside you, offering care, encouragement, and equipping for your daily lives. Part of my role is to understand the work you do Monday through Saturday and to help you see it as God does: valuable, beautiful, and good. That’s why we’re launching a survey called Scatter. This 5-minute survey asks where you spend your time, your skills, and how you connect faith to your daily work. And when we say “work,” we mean all forms—employment, retirement, volunteering, caregiving, homemaking, parenting, studying, or seeking work. God values all contributions, measuring success not by compensation but by faithfulness to your calling. Everyone’s daily work matters to God and to us. The survey includes 25 questions designed to help us better understand how to serve, equip, and encourage you as a “worker.” It also invites honest feedback about how we, as a church, can support you. If you’ve ever felt unseen, undervalued, or unsupported in your daily work, we want to know. And if there are ways we can better equip you, we’re listening. Completing the survey doesn’t commit you to anything—it simply provides insight into the heartbeat of our church. Once completed, you’ll receive a glimpse of how your industry contributes to God’s plan for flourishing communities, along with suggested readings to explore these topics further. By filling this out, you’re helping us affirm and commission you into the places God has called you.
