MAMily as you know we began this year with a focused effort that would help us become a more stable community.  Our goal to achieve a regular adult worship attendance of 150 individuals at Maple Avenue Ministries (MAM) by December 2026.  This is Project 150.

This number serves as the crucial first step toward our larger objective of reaching 500 attendees, which church statistics indicate as stability in a congregation. Once a congregation gets to 200, the jump to 500 becomes easier.  With 150 adults we estimate that would give us an additional 55 youth and children. It means a projected increase in Tithes & Offerings, a greater number of disciples, increased baptisms, and growth in volunteer engagement.

I wanted to give you an update, as of the first quarter we average 84 adults this year.  For the sake of context, in 2025 we averaged 86 adults per week.

Though we have not seen an increase in adult attendance we have seen an increase in guest attendance!  Each week we see several new faces and that is something to praise God about.  In addition to continuing to invite others to visit and attend, we should ensure we are embracing guests throughout our Sunday experience, we should also make sure our Sunday Teams are prepared to serve in a spirit of excellence and throughout the Sunday experience offer the opportunity to participate in next steps.

Project 150 does not happen unless we all commit to this.  Every area of our church and every person in this community is important.  An invitation to Maple Avenue isn’t just an invitation to attend church, its an invitation to pursue purpose in community.   As we head into the summer months let’s continue to invite others who we live near, work with, see at the grocery store and even those we engage online.

Beyond the invitation, our success hinges on being the authentic, embracing community we are called to be. the growth of our ministry is organically fostered by our active participation in various community groups and local events. By showing up, serving, and being a positive presence in the broader Westcore community, we build relationships of trust and demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways. This outward focus naturally introduces Maple Avenue Ministries to people who might never encounter us otherwise, opening doors for invitation and fellowship.

Project 150 is our plan to live from the 3C Vision of being Centered, Called and Committed.  All across our congregation and region, we have people who were once children playing and singing who are now community and justice leaders.  Project 150 allows us to continue to be who God called us to be.  God Things Are Happening at Maple Avenue Ministries! - Pastor
