Maple Avenue is participating in One Community Weekend led by Movement West Michigan. The goal of this weekend is to be, "A visible and tangible demonstration of the unity of the Body of Christ in Holland/Zeeland." The weekend includes:
One Church Grows: A Christian Leader's breakfast with author Mark Matlock on Thursday, May 15th from 7 - 9:30 am at the Midtown Center in Holland. Mark is a senior fellow with Barna and the Executive Director of Urbana 2025. He is the author of several books, including Faith for the Curious and Faith for Exiles and is excited to join us for a time of discovery, prayer, and connection as Christian leaders. Register for you and your leadership team's tickets today here ($10/each)!
One Church Serves: We are honored to partner with West Coast Chamber's Community Impact Day to mobilize the Church to serve alongside local non-profits & schools in our community on both May 14 (afternoon, 1-4 pm) & May 17th (morning, times TBA).
One Church Loves: Curious about how to build community where you live? Stay tuned for community development organization 3-sixty's resources to consider creative ways you can invest in your neighborhood throughout the year. We will send you the new resource page link by April 1st! Hosting a lemonade stand with your kids, starting a walking group, or maybe even planning a block party are just some of the ways neighbors can start building connections and community. We are excited that Executive Jake Norris will share more resources on neighborhood flourishing at our May 15th breakfast.
One Church Worshipping: Thursday, May 15th -- All are welcome to join us for a bilingual, multigenerational time of prayer & worship on Thursday, May 15th at 6 pm at Maple Ave Ministries in Holland. We are excited to gather with multiple worship leaders from across the community to glorify God together. Please feel free to mark your calendars and start spreading the word.
One Church Prays: We believe that God will transform us and our community when we seek His face in prayer. Our goal is to recruit 31 Churches to pray for the 31 days of May, each signing up for 24 hours to cover our community in prayer.
You will soon be hearing how MAM will participate in One Church Serves and to find out what time you can cover during our 24 hours of prayer on Friday, May 2.
If you have any questions please let me know.
